How do I setup my computer to send and receive emails using my cPanel Hosting Service?

Sending Mail

Although sending mail is normally a service that your ISP provides along with your Internet /Broadband connection. Many providers restrict you from being able to send mail through anyone else, so you can only send mail using your providers network and servers. You will need to contact your service provider to get the details for sending mail in this case.

If you wish to send mail using your cPanel account, and your provider allows it, you will need to enable Authenticatication on your mail client. please refer to the settings below (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name):

  • Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com (server requires authentication) port 25 or 587
